The real sdcc regression tests live in sdcc/support/regression. You can run them e.g. for mcs51 small target by doing a make mcs51-small in there. AFAIK those tests in sdcc/src/regression are just for the pic14 target, since it is too incomplete to be able to run the real ones. The tests in sdcc/src/regression might contain some things that are specific to the pic14 target.
