I think it would work for: mcs51, ds390, hc08, s08 and pic14. z80, z180, gbz80, ez80_z80, tlcs90, r2k, r2ka, r3ka instead have the more fine-grained __preserves_regs. That leaves some ports without either: stm8, pic16, pdk13, pdk14, pdk15.
