I suspect that the fork happened around the time those features were
added to asxxxx, so they are already in the manual, but haven't been
debugged to work well yet. Howver, I'm not sure about this.

The SDCC assembler / linker situation is clearly far from optimal.

Wasn’t the fork merged with updates from upstream at some point? It pretty much looked to me like docs from asxxxx were copied, but not all features merged. It also had .tile for asgb in docs, but not implemented, even though it wasn’t complicated code.
