I've put a development snapshot of the latest sources online on my home
page:

The biggest change in this version is that I've migrated the build
process to Module::Build instead of the platform-specific Makefiles.
This should make it much easier to unify the build, though I'm not sure
how well things work now on anything but Linux.
Patches *very* welcome.
A couple of the constant-related tests fail, but everything else looks
pretty good. This isn't stable, by any means, and I have more patches
to apply from the latest CVS checkout, but it's much better than the
version on the CPAN.
You can always grab the latest sources from Subversion:
http://svn.perl.org/modules/sdl/
The login is 'anon' and the password is blank, so just hit Enter. If
you'd like checkin access, set yourself up for an account on perl.org
and let me know what it is.
