Hey Curtis, I finally got around to you ticket. I think I have a fix for it in my v2.2.1 branch here http://github.com/kthakore/SDL_perl/tree/v2.2.1.
set the environment variable to you SDL dir. It doesn't verify the dir right now will later. then perl Build.PL perl Build install Let me know how that goes, Kartik Thakore
