Hi Jan,

I am one of the maintainer for SDL Perl. We have updated sdl_perl a lot
since the version that Arch is currently using (2.2.6). SDL 2.2.6 is no
longer supported and we have changed the API since. The benefits to
updating to the new SDL api 2.5* is a lot more documentation for your
users, less memory problems and a budding developer community to
maintain it.

Also a book to get started in SDL with: http://bit.ly/hvxc9V

If you are holding back updates to sdl_perl because of frozen bubble. We
have also updated frozen-bubble to be faster, with fewer crashes and
memory problems.
