Holy frigg'n crap! I too was at the Spokane show and was utterly blown away by
sdre's performance. Something that I don't think was mentioned yet was the
fact that the guys wore their suits this time - very smashing if you ask me. I
won't droan on about how amazing I thought the show was (even though it really
was). "Prophet" was insane - they smoked that song. "Blankets.." was quite
animated as well too. I think my fav was "J'nuh" though..I swear Dan played
that riff for hours on end, and Jeremy just swayed, and made his guitar feed
back until he seemed to be some place far far away from the Metropolitan
theater. Dan's mom happened to be at the show last night too. He said
something along the lines of "Im so happy to know that my hometown is cool.."
in reference to the crowd's participation. I brought my pocket recorder for a
cheap tape of the show just for memory's sake, but halfway through "Pillars"
it stimking blew up and tape was all over...funny considering I tested it just
hours before the show.. Got a chance to say hi to Dan and Will after the show
and talk with Jeremy for about 5 minutes. When asked what he was going to do
now that the tour was over, Will said "Im going to get dunk." Jeremy talked
about future plans for solo stuff, and the bain of losing finger callouses.
All in all it was an uforgettable experience.. especially for a first-timer
like me.
