Well, actually, with a decent record player, the quality of vinyl is
actually better than CD. I realize that this probably sounds odd to most
of you who aren't familiar with sound system concepts, but it's true. It
comes from the fact (among other reasons) that CDs sample at 44.1 kHz, and
that is simply not a high enough sampling rate to capture all frequencies
that we can perceive. Vinyl, being an analog medium, does not have the
restrictions that digital audio of CD quality does.
