Just to add to the overwhelming argument; Vinyl is much warmer,
yet most people use solid state amps (receivers) to power their music.
Solid state uses alternating current, stops and starts, rather than direct
current. So the ideal compliment for vinyl is a tube driven stereo which
uses direct (or continuous) current. Mr Enigk uses a tube amp for his guitar
for the tonal distinctiveness of his sound, so it only makes sense that
vinyl is closer in sound to their actual live music. Now I know most of
you, being the digital age and all, have never heard vinyl through a tube
driven amp, but let me tell you, its unlike anything in the world... It
is so warm and personal.. I really can't explain, I'm afraid.. So buy that
sunny day on vinyl... Plus the art is bigger and vinyl is cheaper. Those
two arguments usually change people's minds with out bringing in all that
technical crap..
