I'd have to agree that Joe is an excellent bassist.  I'm not going to try
and say whether he or Nate is the better basist.  They have different
styles, but they're both very talented.  Just in case anyone's interested,
he played with the Posies (I think someone already said that) and I think he
did the studio work for Sky Cries Mary's first album (Return to the Inner
Experience), which are both other great Seattle bands.  On that note, I'd
just like to comment on the fact that it seemed so unnatural to have a
non-Seattle basist with the band (no offense to Califonians or anyone else).
Sunny Day's a Seattle band.  It's their roots.  It's where their music comes
from.  I wouldn't dare say that Seattle fans are the original Sunny Day
fans, because that doesn't really matter (spread the wealth, eh?), but you
can't deny that Sunny Day started in Seattle garages and Seattle bars.
