Meeting the guys in the band once for about three seconds is a totally
different story from actually sitting around and oberving them for hours
at a time. When I met Jeremy at the Dallas show he was very friendly
and answered all my questions yadda yadda yadda, but when I was actually
in a confined space with all the guys
for about seven hours, he seemed a lot different. What people mistake
for some kind of quiet, shy demeanor is actually more likely to be
aloofness and detachment. Sure, he's a nice guy, but he sort of does
his own thing. Alone. Which could be why he digs on video games so
much. And the handwriting lady couldn't have
been more right on about Will. Don't get me wrong, he's my favorite of
the bunch and I spent most of my time with him, but, Jesus, I'm in high
school and I've never seen such a display of self-destructive behavior.
I think that boy's aiming for that "Dead-at-27" thing. Also, I just
showed my friend Chris
(ex-Mineral/current-Gloria Record) that web site and he sort of laughed
and said that the handwriting lady "sure nailed him [Jeremy] on his
negative points" (they used to be friends back in the day, ya know,
through the emo circuit and all...just kidding. Please don't get
started again on the emo thing; it was a joke). Maybe
everybody's getting offended because she didn't delve deeper into the
positive sides of the boys' personalities. Very accurate on the
negative though.

P.S. The boys in the Gloria Record are making a video for MTV!!! When
everybody thinks of MTV, they think of sell-outs, right? I assure you
that one does not equal the other, because my poor Gloria Record boys
are living in a two-bedroom shoebox in ghetto Austin with five people,
no airconditioning, and shitty
dayjobs...but they're going to be on MTV. See how that doesn't compute?
Oh yeah, so you should buy the Gloria Record EP if you don't already
have it because it's hot as shit in their shoebox. They sound just like
Mineral, I swear. Don't tell them I said that though. And don't call
them emo.
