(it's late. i have to catch a plane at 6 am. so i'm just staying up. figured
i'd put in my 2cents on eveyrthing)

i like rap, r&b, rock, pop.
everything. i used to have this vendetta against top 40 hits.. but no more.
if i was a nothing, working at a gas station, i'd sing Spice Girl stuff to
make money.

rap = can't deny it man. it's there. my favorite rappers (b.i.g., ice
cube,.er.. maybe tupac) they always had a message.. it's like a story set
to music.. it's easy to take in, the better rappers have hidden allusions
and references that make it fun to listen to... i hate the beastie boys
though...

r&b = i can't stand most of it.. considering most of them don't write their
own stuff.. but some of it's catchy...

pop = c'mon.. you can't have anything really against catchy stuff.... gotta
appreciate it.

rock = prob. the most versatile thingie.. i grew up on classical.. and in
6th grade.. it was my way of rebelling.. i was so afraid of my mom catching
me with my Nirvana and red Hot chili peppers CD's... i'd sit in the basement
absorbing the Breeders, metallica, esp nirvana...

i dunno. to really appreciate it is to try and do it yourself.. i dunno
about anyone else on this list.. but i realized i can't play guitar for
crap.. and i can't sing for crap.. and i can't make up catchy melodies for
crap... i try my ass off though... i can't freestyle for crap.. i can't
write convincing lyrics..

so anyone who can... has got my respect.

btw, my dream in life is to be a rock star. plain and simple. oh i'll keep
it real trust me. but it's a lot easier to keep it real when i don't have
to worry about money..

here's my SDRE related part of my post = i first fell in love with their
energy (8).. then with jeremy's voice (diary),
then with their melodies (pink) then with their whole precense and emotion
(HOFTBSO).... that's why i love The Prophet... it all just comes together
in that song.... oh god.. that song makes me wanna run out and hug someone
so violently that they scream along with jeremy...
