Hello Donny.

I wasn't saying you were some dumb fuck who has no idea what he's talking
about. I was saying that calling Nate a sellout is way out of hand. The fact
is, he chose not to continue with Sunny Day Real Estate. Wherever he goes is
his business. The term "sellout" means he did it for the money. Can you
really say he did that? As far as I have been able to find, no one in the
band talks about it to the public, so you don't know what his reasons are.

If Nate doesn't like playing with Sunny Day Real Estate anymore, who the fuck
are you to slag him for it? Would he not be a sellout if he despised SDRE but
played with some other indie band, just so he can live up to his "fan's"
expectations? I really doubt money has anything to do with Nate's decision. I
stick to the theory that he doesn't like dealing with the "sellout" crap
anymore, which was happening before SDRE even broke up.

Every time someone buys a new pair of shoes when they're in an indie band
they get called a sellout. I'm sorry, Donny, but the Foo Fighters is Dave
Grohl's band. If someone doesn't like that they can leave, and two of them
already did. I'm sure Nate busts out when he plays on his own. I don't think
Dave follows him to his room, waving contracts and telling him to stop
playing awesome shit. And how would you know if Nate doesn't happen to love
playing in the Foo Fighters? I doubt he sits there all day whining that he
hates the band he's in. I'm sure he has fun when he wants to. And if he gets
fed up, he'll decide to leave for his own fucking reasons, not yours.

Damn it, Donny. Just leave him alone.

Alan.
