I suppose I've missed the thread on this one by a week or so, but I haven't much felt like chipping in. But when Jeremy was on his solo tour and set to play a show here, the music section of the morning paper had a half-page article on him. It was not an interview, but they did quote him (though where from was left to guestimation). The quote was about Jeremy's voice, and he was saying how much of a John Lennon fan he was and that sometimes he opted to lilt his enunciation toward that of the English. So if anyone thought he sounded like he had an accent at times it was purposeful. I was listening to that song 'Julia' today, from the Beatles' "white album" and was struck by how much it sounds like Jeremy. It doesn't really sound like Jeremy in a completely literal sense, but the style is eerily similar. Not that Jeremy lifted his technigue from John, but he has cited the former Beatle as a major influence on his style of singing. Either that or the article I read made everything up. "I drove all the way up from Carpentersville just to see you, and it was worth it." Alan.
