I think diary sums up 90's rock the verse chorus verse clean guitar for the
verses disstortion on the choruses a la ninties grunge weezer, nirvana pre ok
comp. radiohead. Not that i'm comparing sdre to any of those bands (because
i've seen what happens to the list when nirvana is mentioned) I'm just
opinionating that diary reminds me of typical 90''s rock style clean guitar
verses disstortion on the choruses.(exept obviously with alot more emotion.
On lp2 the dynamics seem to change a little for one thing the songs are a way
lot rawer not as clean commercial sounding as diary. And when i say the
dynamics I mean theirs not just the typical verse chorus vesrse there alot
more breaks in the songs and the alot of the songs go from somewhat mellow to
a loud outro. I think lp2 is a step up from diary. Now how it feels... is a
total growth musicaly for example listen close to two promises durring the
walls he's building ect.. part you can hear piano notes going along with the
singing and every shining time theres so much going on in that song 3
different guitar parts piano backwards cymbal its great. how it fels is much
more complex but at the same time its very simple. if you listen to just
jeremys guitar and singing in the song how it feeels... it sounds very
similar to return of the frog queen and the song guitar and video games is
totally like a jeremy solo song like chewing gum or when will i speak just a
simple accoustic riff only backed by dans wierd electric riffs. Anyway just
throwing in my thoughts on sdre and the 3lps oh and my fa vorite of the 3 is
probably the 4th a tape i made containing songs from each lp. sorry for the
long borring post about sdre but after all this is the sdtre-l. And to my
amazement after 4 years on this list the majority of posts are finally sdre
related.
