Hey

i don't understand this comment...i thought it was obvoius that lp2 is
by far
the best of the three....not saying the other two aren't more than
amazing...just that lp2 is on a different level of
music.....hmmm...that's
what i thought...

Yes, obvious. Definitely. Hello??? It's ok for people to have opinions
last time I checked. We basically all like this band a lot, so I don't
see why opinions should be treated with so much hostility. To me, in my
personal opinion, lp2 is not quite as good as diary, and nowhere near as
good as how it feels. I think it's cool that other people disagree
strongly with my opinion, but you can't go around saying it's false just
because you dont agree with it. I'll try to explaing without pissing
anyone off further......my taste in music is probably way different than
most of the people on this list. I listen to a lot of different
shit......like Jawbreaker, Joy Division, Seaweed, Jawbox, Rob Zombie,
and generally bands that are "harder" than sdre. To me lp2 was just a
little more melodic and "soft" than I would have liked from the band
that produced diary. Does that make sense? I really, really like lp2.
But not as much as the other two albums. When that guy was reviewing how
it feels he said something about its tendency to push right against an
emotional barrier or something, without ever breaking it. I felt like
lp2 was just a little out of control in that sense.....the music being a
little out of control was amazing, but jeremy just had no edge to his
vocals compared to his other albums. some guy on here mentioned the song
rodeo jones........to me that song is one of their worst, just whiny and
boring. there's nothing wrong with bands and singers experimenting in
their growth processes or whatever. but to me, a song like walking in
circles or roses in water is so much better than any hard song on lp2,
and a song like days were golden or guitar and video games blows away
anything on lp2. but that's just me.

Oh and about the band comparison problem.....I didn't compare sdre to
built to spill, a magazine article did. Same with radiohead. And if
someone else thinks ok computer is the best album in the history of
music, that's fine. I like it, but I think how it feels is way better.
with ok computer, i usually skip songs 1-4 when I play the cd....no need
to skip anything with how it feels. Alright, sorry for going on....just
thought I should clarify and unpiss people off.
