hey... just for all who don't know... the vinyl of diary, lp2, and hiftbso are all
back in print over at sub pop. you can order them
mail order too.
i ordered my diary vinyl two weeks ago and got it a few days ago.... very cool. the
vinyl says "edition II" on the label on the
record itself, so that way they can't be passed off as the original (very
out-of-print) pressing of diary.
also, they sent a sdre poster with it too, one that i've never seen before. it's the
same size as the hiftbso poster except it's on
regular paper. it's the "song about an angel" scene from the diary artwork... you
know, the hospital scene. it's very cool,
because it's really big, so big you can see the brushstrokes and pencil marks from the
artwork that you couldn't see in the album
artwork. that's worth the $8 alone. i'm not sure if there are any other posters like
this available. i'm not sure what they send you
(if anything) if you order lp2... i doubt they'd send you a big pink piece of poster
paper. (heehee)
if anyone else has ordered any sdre vinyl recently, and recieved a different poster,
i'd like to hear about it.
also... the diary LP has "round," "grendel," and "48" missing from it... i had heard
earlier (before "diary" was reprinted on vinyl)
that "round" and "grendel" weren't on it, but i didn't know about "48"... is "48"
missing from the original print too??
