hi all, sorry this will take a little long. i've been on vacation for a week,
so i missed a lot. the first thing on the list that caught me when i got back
was people insulting 3eb, saying they weren't emo. i know emo is almost
always underground, but i started off my music life as a mainstream kid, and
i must admit that when i look back a lot of it is crap. but there still is
good stuff in the mainstream...radiohead, collective soul (gasp!! sorry, i
love 'em..good emotion), pearl jam, and finally THIRD EYE BLIND. as my fellow
sdre fan jeff ault pointed out 3eb "it
pretty deep, read the lyrics to "Background" or "God of Wine" one
time... ouch... that's pretty emo if you ask me." i would agree. the music is
also incredible, pretty different from the only bad song on the album (thus
the first hit) semi-charmed life). this is emotional, mainstream or not
