hi- reading all the e-mails that have been flying around for the past few days has made me feel weird. i can't describe it, but i feel like everyone has forgotten why you may listen to sdre in the first place-how the music makes you feel or how you love the intricies of the chord arrangement or whatever...but most importantly that as much as music is for all, it's really about you and what you ascribe to it and you should be glad to share that with others. i gave my cousin a sdre tape a few years ago and the feeling of sharing that music with someone else, especially someone who understands, it is indescribable. The talk about bands going mainstream will always be around. Defending your identity and identifying with a certain group is very important to people, but listening to and feeling the music should be more important than arguing about it.
