Hello SDRE-l. I have been studying the lyrics of
Jeremy Enigk and Sunny Day Real Estate for awhile..and
i have come up with a few ideas. Has anyone ever heard
of the famous poet E.E. Cummings? If not you should
all go check him out. His poetry has amazing
similarities to Sunny Day Real Estates lyrics. I have
heard that E.E Cummings is Jeremy's favorite poet, and
his lyrics are said to mimic Cummings style of poetry.
If anyone has a chance you should check it out...it is
really bizarre. On another note, i own a huge
encyclopedia like book on e.e. cummings poetry....in
the intro, cummings says:
"For Marion"....i noticed that in the booklet for
HIFTBSO, Jeremy thanks someone named "Marion"...i'm
wondering if that is any insight to where Jeremy gets
his ideas from...? I would like to hear some thoughts
on that. I also have tons of sdre rare stuff and
whatnot...email me and possibly there could be a trade
in the works...take care.
