I guess I will have to talk about SDRE in Atlanta at the Masquerade. It
was great. The 2 bands before them were alright but my anticipation for Sunny
Day made them suck. It was Wendesday and I had school the next morning so i
coulnt stay that late (I have a terrible time getting up). To make it worse,
they got on stage at 10 after 12. First song was In Circles and damn was it
good. Dan just kept commenting on how many people were there; he seemed very
happy. The bass "kept fucking up" during pillars which didnt really put me
into the mood. I hadnt listened to the new album yet and when they played 100
million, i nearly freaked.
I do have to agree with other persons on the list about making Sunny Day
their idols. SDRE is 1 of 2 of my fav. bands but what i really remember about
the show was all the "emo" kids flapping their hands on their chests like an
epileptic fit. Those guys kill me. And about How it Feels..., yea, its not
like the last two, but that is what is going to keep them alive. Catherine
Wheel has been around and about to put out a 6th albut b/c they didn't stick
to the same shoegazing pop they started with. Variation. It is that that has
caused evolution and the survival of out species. And we all want the
survival of SDRE
didn'e mean to go off on a rant. That's my opinion, i may be wrong.
