I haven't ever made a post about what I've thought before..usually just read
along to the responses and use this as a good guide to find out what is going
on with SDRE but this time I have something to say about The Ocean MP3...
Everyone either seems to be a devoted SDRE fan and like it or others seem to
feel it is like HIFTBSO and are disappointed. Others have been comparing it
to this artist or that artist, etc., etc. Well, let's stop for a moment and
just listen to the song...it is really good! Whether it is "to produced" or
not. It's definitely a good song that defies the mainstream music that
pollutes our radio stations or stores.
One thing we need to realize is that we are all people. People change. This
applies to musicians and listeners of music. We grow and we change. I have
grown since Diary and then again since the LP2 and also with HIFTBSO. The
band as well is changing. It is something to come to accept and like or move
on. I, personally am eager to get the next album because music is a huge
part of my life and I want to see what this album will take me through just
like I went through with Diary, LP2, and HIFTBSO. Just like you can't judge
a book by it's cover...don't judge the whole album by this demo. SDRE has
yet to disappoint me and I anticipate the release in June. So until
then...let's save the judgemental views. Patiently awaiting a "change in
every little desire"...hopefully the new album will fulfill that.
