There is a reason people praise Diary and LP2, because they are those
albums. We listen to Diary because it is Diary, we listen to Lp2 because
it is LP2, each album is a chapter in sdre's musical career, each album
hold's it's own, and we like them for what they are. HIFTBSO is in it's
own right a master piece, different from Diary and Lp2, because it's
what it is. Hopefully this new album will be something memorable, and I
don't think it's fair to compare any other album they did to Diary. You
shouldnt compare anything they do to anything they've done. Yeah you
want the new cd to have the edge and staying power Diary had, that's
good, I'm sure it will have it's own edge and staying power, but let it
earn it on it's own.
I'm sure sdre will give us enough reason to love the new cd.
We all should be thankful that a band like sdre is still together to
give us beautiful artistic music. Thankfull that they are able to move
on past a record that was Diary, it was a classic. It was a time.
And don't think that their best work is behind them, I think it's still
to come.
