I'm kind of skeptical that anything that profound can be read in to it. For the most part, the lyrics to The Ocean are just recycled old ones, mixed and matched from various songs. There are some all-new lines, like the one about being a shining star (am I the one that finds that line incredibly cheesy?). Anyway, that's kind of how I felt about the whole song. It just didn't seem like anything new or different to me. Nothing about it surprised me. It'd be nice if this song was just a b-side, but I guess it isn't. Just my opinion, and sorry to all the apologists out there. Mike
