Btw, for those who don't like two promises why not? according to the band
it was the first song written after the 'breakup'... to me it's the only
song that sounds like diary. just minus the distorted guitar tones..

I've been playing the new lp as well.. i am very happy with it.. and lp2's
my fav btw.. but this seems somehow 'right'. all the apparent influences
are here.. U2, Jeremy's solo work (acoustics and string sections..) , Nusrat
Ali Khan (which dan and jeremy are fans of.. hence the 'indian, eastern'
sounds, circular drum patterns..) .. this review is fairly dead on in my
opinion, minus the need to say 'one of my favorites' every couple songs =P
the only thing i didn't care for on this lp, was the song titles.. 'one'
'rain song' 'the ocean' -sigh- ;) never heard of songs with those
names.. heh.
