The review in the mag Spin was about six sentences long, so my reaction
will be roughly the same length. The reviewer sandwiched his reaction
between two other reviews, and he gave the album a 4 out of 10, which
suggests that he didn't like it. He makes references to only one song by
name, "Television", which suggests that he chose the silliets
tongue-in-cheek song as the basis for his displeasure. He also bashes
the lyrics for sounding similar to those from your typical Creed song,
something he didn't like, but his ragging of the LP fails to take into
account that it happens to be in an issue of Spin which has, you guessed
it, Creed on the cover. I guess bad lyrics are OK as long as they sell
magazines. In summary, it's your typical mainstream mag rag of an album
that the reviewer probably listened to once, didn't "get", and decided
that the best was over because there weren't any aggro chords around
that caused his hands to be raised in the devil-horns position. Oops,
sorry, seven sentences.
