For those of you who may or may not know - jeremy is not the only one that does the lyric writing...in fact, dan is a big part of the majority of the lyrics. Also, most of you probably don't know that Dan graduated with a degree in philosophy from the University of Washington...and we have discussed the fact that a lot of their lyrical content is philosophical...now whether or not you choose to coin their lyrics with a religous term or not...that is based on what each individual who listens to the music thinks. I say, listen to the music, listen to the lyrics, if it moves you to a religious platform - so be it...if it doesn't...so be it. The purpose of music is to stem through and through to the hearts of an abundancy of different people both religious and non-religious. I think sunny day real estate knows this, and they write from things that impact them - whether it is religious or not....well i guess its up to us to decide. either way, we shouldn't be knocking and fighting with each other over who is right....cause i'm almost positive, that from what i have been reading the past few posts questioning religion, is that before you write something or decide to personally attack anybody for what they think...i suggest you think about it... cause most likely you sound lame. just my thoughts... listen to the music for what its worth - thats what its all about right? interpret how you feel...its all that really matters.... take care.
