hey all,
my name is Matt and i'm from Virginia, and i used to be a member of this
list way back in the day [pre HIFTBSO] and somehow got booted off or
something, becuase i never remember un-subscribing. anyhow, i'm back.
i also was lucky enough to get to see the band this past thursday at the
Norva Theatre in Norfolk, Virginia. great show! [btw, if anyone has a boot
of this show, or any others in the new tour, email me, i'd like to arrange
some kind of trade or something] i got to talk to the Jeremy quite
extensively after the show, and was able to tell him how stoked i was to
hear old songs like Pheurton [done all out with guitars and all... wow] and
Seven. Jeremy said they are having a great time on the road, and i got to
ask him all kinds of questions like "would you ever do another live album?'
[he answered that he wasn't a fan of the idea], and "is God still a part of
your daily life?" [which was prefaced with how i thought it was great that
he was a christian, and how i wondered if it still mattered to the band, to
which he replied that it depends on the day. somedays he feels God is
watching him, and others he's not so sure. so it's still in the back of his
mind.] we also got to talk about Dan's wedding [which Jeremy wasn't even
at], TSMAP [which is the tshirt i bought and got him to sign], the last time
i saw the band [it was at CMJ in 1998 w/the Spinanes, Murder City Devils,
and others, and he actually rememberd that gig!], and other things that i
don't remember right this minute.
all in all it was a great show that you should all try and catch if they
travel near you.
