Hey all, You might recognise me as the guy who runs the FTP. I'm now having second thoughts as to the worth of the FTP. I just received a trade of 3 cds. ALL 3 were mp3 sourced. One of which I actually encoded myself from a cassette. How much of this is going on nowadays? I mean, are people taking stuff from the mp3 and burning it to use in trades on a regular basis? Do traders bother to check if their stuff is mp3 sourced before continuing to circulate it? tell me i'm not the only semi-perfectionist left out there. When i started the FTP, this was not it intended use. People, please... don't circulate those mp3s in trades. If you choose to download from the FTP, do so for your own personal use. If you choose to trade, don't do it with stuff that people can download from me for free. If you're really desperate to get into bootleg trading, ripping people off by trading f'n mp3s with them is not the way to do it. I'm sure there's someone who'll do a b+p for you.
