Hi

"Bare Minimum" is imo rather conventional, guitar oriented
alternative/indie. Some songs are instrumental, or mostly instrumental.
Unexceptional singer. What I like about them is the repetitive element in
their music - and "Luchuk" has a lot of tension.

Speaking of odditties - you might want to give the other one a try, thirty
ought six - hag seed with Jeremy doing "Tourmaline". It starts with an
onslaught of guitar riffs, but as of the second song, Hag Seed, you will
find a lot of structures which might appeal to a SDRE fan! It is an album
which I could have bought without Jeremy's participation (if I would have
gotten any further than the first song)

As for recommandations - Jen, I don't know what you're looking for - unlike
many people on this list I like the less heavy on drums and guitar (more
"emo", more tension, more silence, more vocals) stuff (the advance copy of
the new Nick Cave album hardly left my cd player for weeks). The one record
that completely amazed me last year and still does is by a scandinavian
band, Madrugada, called "Industrial silence". I get fed up at times with
Radiohead, but never with this record.

Greetings
Christina
