FN Interactive Project List 10/31/07 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Advisor Contact System (ACS) Development FN Interactive is designing the Advisor Contact System (ACS), a web- based contact management system that will integrate with our client's current marketing web portal. ACS will be based on the Advisor Marketing System (AMS), a marketing tool that FN developed for First Allied. ACS will allow financial advisors to schedule the automatic branding and emailing of approved marketing pieces, view email usage metrics of their clients, and grant access to a hub of parent company and firm-approved materials. Behind the scenes, ACS will provide our client with an easy way to automate their compliance process. The following experience and skills are desired for this project: Experience scaling with Ruby on Rails (RoR), experience optimizing RoR for performance, general Linux environment set-up and maintenance, experience with bulk emailers, CRON jobs, security (SSL, encryption, etc.), and setting up live testing/QA environments. IBM WebSphere MQ knowledge is a plus. AdvisorMarketing System (AMS) Projects There are several smaller projects that need to be completed on the AMS, a web-based marketing system created for First Allied: · Ruby on Rails code optimization: Several bottlenecks - most likely SQL-hungry operations - are beginning to surface. These need to be addressed and the code base could use a general cleaning. · Flex editor integration:An XML document editor has been created in Flex and needs to be integrated and tested in our Rails app. The work is about 90% complete. Knowledge of Flex/AS3 is helpful. · Rails 2.0 compliance: TheAMS code base needs to be updated to become Rails 2.0 compliant. The application remains unpatched right now - production is running 1.1.6 and development is running 1.2.3. · Compliance overhaul: The compliance section of AMS needs to be overhauled to add a new point of contact in the marketing piece approval chain. Also, the code for this section could use a rewrite, as it's becoming a bit sloppy.
