Thanks Mark, I agree not all firms are alike. We have gone through our own growing pains with how to effectively leverage outsourcing. If I have to staff a project with outsourced help (and we almost always do), I like having both an onsite and offsite lead. I will do most of my interaction with the onsite lead and US-based account rep. Throwing the entire project over the wall hasn't worked out too well in the past. It does help that we are a large company and can throw our weight around if we aren't getting the desired results.
