RUBY FOR DATA PROCESSING Brian Chapados will talk about using ruby & rake to build a simple workflow to coordinate external processes LAZY INDEXING Matt Aimonetti will show how to quickly get your database queries to run faster when you are not a DBA and are running out of time. After the meeting, we'll head over to Rock Bottom for some socializing (along with the XP San Diego user group.) .... DIRECTIONS Meetings are held on the UCSD campus, at 7:30pm, on the first Thursday of the month. If you plan to drive, follow the directions below and make sure to get a parking pass.
