Hey guys I was hoping to make it to the meet tonight, but then booked a ticket to a gig at the House of Blues without realising it was the same night. Now, the band I want to see (Doves, for those interested) are on stage at 9:15 or so, but that's downtown, and the meet's in La Jolla.
Not only do I not have a car, but I don't have an Australian driver's licence, let alone a US one. I'm also toying with the idea of a taxi ride, but that's not going to be cheap, so hoping someone is happy to leave around 9pm. So: Is anyone thinking of going to the meet, but *not* drinks afterwards, and is heading back somewhere close to downtown?
