We have been using Django for over two years, and are honing our core product. Responsibilities: - Develop, Manage and Deploy Web Applications in Django - Build deployment and maintenance facilities for existing applications running on Linux (Ubuntu) - Work to create optimized brand marketing, e-commerce, and custom web application sites - Utilize client side libraries like jquery to build dynamic content, while maintaining RESTful conventions Requirements: - Demonstrable experience Building Web Applications - Experience writing efficient database queries and utilizing an ORM - A very clear understanding of HTTP, sessions, and key web technologies - Python knowledge, preferably with Django Experience - Extensive knowledge of unix environments -- you should be able to find and install necessary packages, configure new applications for various environments, feel very comfortable shelled into a linux server - Awareness of the latest and greatest on the web (strong opinions are welcome :) - Great attitude: willingness to teach, learn, and have fun!
