Dear Rubyists, Over the past year, I have been working by myself on a startup company called Fowler Studios developing a product called Seedling. Within the last few months, the Seedling product has become cash-flow positive (not huge numbers yet) and has thus proven itself as a business model. I feel that at this time, I need to bring in a couple of people that are outstanding in something they are completely dedicated to and want to work extremely hard at.
There are two distinct roles that need to be filled within the development team. These include: 1) a usability expert who is passionate about user-facing interfaces (must be handy with Javascript, CSS, and HTML), and 2) a Ruby developer with at least 3 years of experience in test/behavior-driven development, deployment, and scaling. Both of these roles will work with me (as the lead developer) in moving all the individual parts and code-bases forward. Aside from the development team, I am also looking for someone who is experienced with software startups but is more akin to the business- development and sales side of things. This might be someone you can refer to me. This person must be proven and again someone that is outstanding at doing what they do. If you have ideas on where to find someone like this, I would love to hear your ideas as well. To conclude, I am looking for an absolutely all-star team of people who want to work extremely hard to build not just a great company but one that you are proud to be a part of.
