Sr Developer (Ruby on Rails) Seeking a Sr Developer who will develop an new platform that will consume services and render pages for an ecommerce site. This is key part of a much larger project involving multiple teams. The new platform will be developed in Ruby on Rails.
The position is expected to provide RoR expertise and leadership to the team. While much of the high-level direction has been set, the Sr Developer will provide guidance on best practices and ensure a successful implementation and technical delivery of the Ruby side of the platform. Must be a team player and communicate well. He or she will be working with other very senior engineers, who though not deeply experienced w/ Ruby, are exceptional developers. The team can use a lot of support around areas like: - Test Driven Development (or BDD) - Rake and Capistrano - View helpers Knowledge of JSP and Java are helpful as the views being converted are authored in JSP.
