Hi everyone, I've been lurking on this list for a while (I keep meaning to attend one of the meetings) and I thought this group might have some insight into a particular question I have. I'm trying to get some staffing assumptions for scaling a software company (specifically, a company that uses RoR), and I need to know if there are some common ratios used in the industry. For instance, for every x developers you might want to consider a manager or senior developer. Or for every y teams you need a project manager. I'm open to different people's hierarchy ideas, whether they be agile or not or include pair programming or whatever, with the understanding that the team will use BDD. I'm also interested in support and customer service needs. In case you're wondering, I am a Rails developer myself.
