SD Ruby, I'm involved with the development of a Rails application that's close to going into private beta. We've had pretty good luck working with an off-shore development team for the bulk of the coding so far. However, as we approach production and are winnowing the number of "must fix" bugs down we're starting to reach the limit of their capabilities.
We need a talented local Rails developer to join our team to help bring this product to market and to sustain it as it grows. The specific talents we need this person (or people) to have: - Strong skills in implementing Thinking Sphinx, Solr, Ferret or another search and indexing system to support content and user profile searching in the application. - Experience in applying a UI done in Adobe Illustrator to a Rails app through CSS. - Experience in designing a production deployment setup and moving an application to production in terms of configuring load balancers, app, DB, email and search servers, etc. If you are interested and available for full-time or near full-time employment please contact me directly at testflyjets at gmail. My client is willing to pay market rates to hire developers with the experience and talent necessary to bring his idea into production and time is of the essence. I will be at the SD Ruby meeting Thursday if you'd like to chat with me about this opportunity. Thanks, Chris -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby
