Actually, I decided to go with a Pomodoro Mac App:

I can then see at the end of the day where all my time went in my
mini-sprints, and that seems to work fine for now. I still need to try out
everyone's suggestions, but I really appreciate them!

SDRuby is awesome guys, keep up the great community spirit!
