This individual will help us to continue to develop our flagship product, Planning Center Online. Planning Center has become the standard in Church Worship Service Planning & Volunteer Scheduling and we are continually adding to it and refining it to become an even more spectacular product.
In the beginning we used a lot of Rails, but recently we have found great power in developing our features as mini javascript applications on top of our Rails Based JSON API. We love CoffeeScript, jQuery, MySql, XMPP (for real-time communication), MongoDB and, of course, Ruby. We expect our ideal candidate to be an expert in Ruby & Javascript. But that will change as we are in the middle of relocating our offices to the Bressi Ranch area of Carlsbad, California and will ask you to work from there most of the time.
