It's been a long journey for us to get to this point. When I started at Active.com three years ago, we were developing exclusively in a .NET-based, proprietary content management system. We then dabbled in Java, but I wanted to do things faster and leaner. After a few successful prototypes in Ruby on Rails and the successful re-launch of Active Trainer in that framework (beta.activetrainer.com), I'm proud to say that we are getting more serious about our investment in Ruby on Rails.
We're hiring two Ruby on Rails software developers in San Diego, http://goo.gl/7eiSb and http://goo.gl/oSQtx. We have a highly collaborative culture and some very talented engineers. And we need a couple more. If you're interested, shoot me an email with any questions you may have, or simply apply to one of the job postings.
