Hello Code Campers,

The next SoCal Code Camp is coming up fast at the end of next month so
it's time to look at your calendar and mark the date. June 25th & 26th
we will again be taking over the UCSD Extension campus for what
promises to be the biggest event so far. We have over 100 sessions
posted now with something for everyone, if you have not looked lately
you should!

Even with so many sessions posted we have room for more! Get a session
submitted or let your favorite presenter know about SoCal Code Camp
and ask them to present.

With the support of all the great sponsors (http://
www.socalcodecamp.com/sponsors.aspx), we will again be having a Geek
Dinner, which will be a great opportunity to get to know your fellow
geeks! Please take the time to give all of our sponsors a big thank
you!

As always, we can always use help at the event, so if you can
volunteer (http://www.socalcodecamp.com/contact.aspx?c=Volunteering) a
little time please let us know on the SoCal Code Camp website.

Register & RSVP!

You can register (or log in) to the site at: http://www.socalcodecamp.com

Registration need only be done once, so remember that if you are
already registered you can log in and just RSVP for the upcoming
event!

Otherwise, register now and sign up! This gets you on our list of
folks that wants to know about Code Camp events. Register now, even if
you aren't sure if you can attend... that way you are on the list to
receive the notification emails with more information!

Submit A Session!

YES YOU!!!! We are getting a lot of requests for "getting started"
content as well as the advanced and latest technology stuff...so bring
it! If you know someone who is a good presenter or that is doing cool
stuff get them to submit a session. We want your submissions ASAP!!!!

Submit sessions here: http://www.socalcodecamp.com/sessions.aspx

We have room for over 150 sessions and speakers are already starting
to submit their sessions!

So far our SoCal code camps have been among the best attended in all
code camps...and we think it is because we have a vibrant technical
community hungry for diverse knowledge...so even if you want to
deliver just 1 talk... we are happy to have you... but if you want to
do a few talks... or a whole track with your friends... please feel
free!!! Also, if you can tell other smart GEEKS you know that can
speak on any subject be it .NET, Java, PHP, Web Services, SOA, Web
Development, Development Process, game development and the list goes
on...please do!

Session Information: If you have never presented at a Code Camp or
User Group this is a great way to get started and share what you know
with the world. It's not surprising that most people find public
speaking quite scary but we will be happy to help you get prepaid or
even team up with someone who can help you. We will email you when we
start building the schedule and get any hard restrictions you may
have.

Sessions are 60 minute in length including Q&A

If you need more time please create a multi-part session

You can use whatever slide template you like

You can offer talks on anything you like and think the community would
be interested in

No sales pitches, just hard core substance for your peers please
