Hi Everyone, I am looking for a DevOps consultant familiar with managing Amazon resources, automating workflows, building/configuring monitoring tools, providing plans for disaster/fault tolerance, and generally managing servers in a programmatic way.
We are python/django shop, and already have a significant toolset for automated deployment, code and release management, database migrations, and CDN integrations on our clustered resources, and heavily utilize many of the Amazon services. But there is much to be done, and we need help. Things that said consultant should know front to back: Amazon services (we use S3, EC2, RDS, Route 53, ELB, SQS, Cloudwatch and more) Chef/Puppet (or comparable modern configuration management toolset) Python (sorry, but Pat pointed out to me that SD Ruby is a great place to find devops people!) Git Memcached MySQL Proven experience in managing multiple web apps Task Queues Linux Security Management (managing security releases, LDAP, user chrooting) Nice to haves: Fabric Django Celery AMQP Nagios and Munin Logging Management Redis Postgresql We are looking for a consultant at this point who is available for both a retainer (on-call and maintaining stuff), and ongoing projects (building and deploying new features). Thanks, Nikolaj -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby
