I'm currently on the hunt for a VPS hosting as well. Specifically, I'm first looking at hosted MySQL servers. We're evaluating companies like Xeround and Amazon RDS. Has anyone had any experience with these?
Also, does anyone have more detailed Chef cookbooks? I've used chef in the past, but I have done the whole Roles & Environments setup and I'm very curious if there's kind of a complete "bootstrap" set of recipes and configurations for a load balanced Ruby on Rails site.
