Hi, Ian. I have been consulting full-time for a couple of years now for iParq.
Best gig I ever had. iParq makes technology for people who do car parking. Which doesn't sound exciting until you start trying to think of another industry that is: - off the radar; - ripe for bringing into the 21st century (think about what you might do to make parking easier for folks with smart phones); - enormous (up toward $10B/year just in the US); and - recession-proof The incumbents in the industry, such as they are, are terrible. There is such an opportunity to hear to improve parking, save many millions of people 5 minutes here and there, not to mention reduce strain and save the environment. Sanest client, entirely reasonable and quite savvy. The other folks on the team are good. It's a small team. There is an office, but we mostly work from home. I'd love to meet with you. Can we do lunch this week? -- SD Ruby mailing list [email protected] http://groups.google.com/group/sdruby
