Hello everyone,

A Rails 3.2 web app, roughly 50% complete, seeks a new developer to finish
the project. The existing developer (myself) is leaving the project.

This product addresses a specific gap for independent distributors,
manufacturers, and salespeople of niche products in industrial goods and
petrochemicals. The owner/founder is one of these distributors and much of
the app was created in response to pain points he encounters in his daily
work.

Interested candidates must have the following qualifications:

   - Strong experience in Rails 3.2 (1-2 years minimum)
   - Capable of writing front-end HTML and Javascript that is compatible
with a wide range of clients (most of the site should work in IE6) using
   jQuery
   - Familiar with common problems in credit-card processing, AWS, billing,
   and search
   - Strong PostgreSQL skills preferred
   - Able to build a functional, working product from detailed plans and
   vision.

We estimate that completing this project will require approx. 200-300
man-hours of work (approx 1-2 months). The owner is willing to pay well,
commensurate with experience and know-how, to see this project completed,
though you will have to negotiate this with him personally. Additional
bonuses may be offered for specific tasks or meeting performance goals.

*Candidates must be willing to sign an NDA, periodically report in,
participate in detailed planning sessions, and display progress. *

The code itself is a little messy and has no test coverage, but is being
documented. I can remain available to answer technical questions. This is a
somewhat large project, but the codebase is sane and logical.

Please contact me if you are interested. Thank you!
