StokeBox is a peer-to-peer marketplace where members buy and sell boxes of gently used kids clothes and gear.
There are plenty of well-funded startups in the "shop my closet" space but no one has taken over the outgrown kids market online with a peer-to-peer solution and we think we can do it. There are currently 2 of us full time on this play - me, Brina, I'm a CEO and interface designer with over 10 years running a successful suite of ecommerce shops and my parter, Jen Wilbur has over 18 years of marketing experience with an emphasis on technology startup PR. StokeBox was a winner at Startup Weekend and a SDVG PitchFest semi-finalist. We plan to raise an angel round after our next release. This would be a part time project for the right developer until we can afford to pay you. Anyone who is a parent understands the magnitude of the problem and the size of this market. We have several months worth of customer development under our belts, our existing codebase is running on AWS written in the latest version of Ruby/Rails. It's a fun opportunity to learn and integrate the PayPal chained payment API and the Endicia Label Server. Thanks and hope to work with you soon!
