Hey Tami,

Monk Development offers some courses: http://www.monkdevacademy.com/courses/

Alex Boster (an SDRuby member) recently organized San Diego's first
Railsbridge workshop, a free day-long introductory course for women and
their friends. I know he wants to hold more, but I don't know if he has
concrete plans yet. You'd probably want to contact him if you're
interested. More info:

SDRuby also holds "hack nights", small gatherings that would be a good
place to get talented Rails folks to help you out. More info:

And of course, come to the SDRuby meetings! And go to Rock Bottom
afterwards. The talks are a good opportunity to learn a bit and soak up the
Ruby culture, and the bar is a great chance to talk to a bunch of cool
people and make some useful connections (plus ask any random questions you
want to ask, we're very opinionated).
