Neal, I did do the rumble and it was a blast. I love how pragmatism always trumps every other goal in a hackathon. Getting up and running forced me to get proficient in PostGIS, Passenger and Capistrano so that was what I mostly took away from the experience. It was also incredibly humbling to see what I could put together compared to some of the entries. Have you seen what some of the entries looked like?
